Alexandra Heseltine
Alexandra's interest in art and design started as a child when she attended the Portland School of Art (predecessor to MECA) to study painting, design and printmaking. That interest continued through high school and into college in Virginia. Her academic experience includes drawing, design, photography, broadcasting, creative writing and screenprinting. Realizing that she could actually "starve as a fine artist", she switched to graphic design and the printing industry. Experience is a great teacher, so over the years she has expanded her skills to include corporate public relations, advertising and event planning, competitive intelligence, and small business marketing. She is versed in Adobe CS4 - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Acrobat. 
Dede Perkins
Dede has worked in sales and marketing since 1983, although she has been writing for as long as she can remember. In 2007, Dede opened A Few Good Words, an outsourced business communications company that has served an array of business, non-profit organizations and one gubernatorial political campaign. She also serves on a number of non-profit boards, is a writing instructor for Gorham Adult Education and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Government from Colby College.
